…came to life one cold winter day. I love Frosty the Snowman! Stampin’ Up! has this “retro” Santa / Frosty stamp set named “Jolly Old Saint Nick”. Jolly Ole’ Saint Nicholas…lean you ear this way…
Back to Frosty. This has to be my favorite Snowman image. Ain’t he a cutie?

I’ve cased Michelle Zindorff (AKA the brayer Queen!) Here’s her tutorial entitled Chilly Day #382. As soon as I saw her card, I knew I had to try this tutorial.
I did change a couple of things from her original card – the right side is a sentiment instead of a die cut. I also used the snowflake from Jolly Old Saint Nick in the sky as well as make large dots. Ahem…she said small random dots. BUT, I did get the image all covered in Versamarker, and all inside the lines, too! YAY! It takes practice. I made four of these cards. Reckon I had enuf practice with this one. {wink}
This is a fun card to send for Christmas thank-yous that should be arriving to recipients in January 2011. Thanks for stopping by! Have a moo-valous day!

…with more projects from the Provo Craft Super Slab #10. Two CAS – clean & simple – cards created in OSW – one sheet wonder – style!

My order of new SU! goodies arrived Wednesday. But, I had to work…so I couldn’t play until this weekend!
Lookie…

…out of my comfort zone…not my usual…but sure is purty! It used lots of new goodies that arrived and a couple of things from my stash. I’m loving the coloring of the “scroll work” on the main image. It looks so different having been colored. I used the new SU! Tasteful Trims die…AWESOME die! It can make 12″ trims…scallops, zig zags, ric rac…oh my! And I’ll be able to cut fabric, felt, cork, wood sheets…the list is long…I’m going to make lotsa scrapbook page trims! I ruffled some Raven 1/2″ lace from the SU! Holiday Mini on top of the taseful trim die cut, then attached slim SU! Black Taffeta ribbon with an SU! Vintage Trinket safety pin! I’m loving that embellishment! Love those safety pins. How cool!
Here’s the inside of my card. I’m going to try to keep embellishing the inside of the cards AND the envelope…after all, they ARE works of art!

In the accounting profession, a manual ledger is retro! Thank goodness for Quickbooks! BUT, I do love the look of ledger paper for scrapbooking!
Lookie…

Slowly, but surely, chipping away at the Provo Craft Super Slab #10. They didin’t call it super for nothin’. I used SU! ‘s computer program, My Digital Studio, to create this retro ledger paper from The Write Stuff II Digital Kit.
It doesn’t look like much room to write a recipe, does it? For some…sure, but others…gosh NO!
Lookie…again…

Ahhh! YES! Normally, I put the backs of TWO layouts together in one protector. For those recipes that require more writing than the front allows, will just have it’s own sheet protector…all to itse’f! 😀
I’m very pleased. I’m still loving these cool aqua colors…perfect for a hot summer day!

I’m still chipping away at the Provo Craft Super Slab #10 – remind me…next time I go…oh & ah over a slab of paper…NOT TO. Geez. BUT, it IS pretty paper. So, I best use it up so I can enjoy it!
Lookie…

A page for my recipe book. It’s a long term goal to get all my family tried and true favorite recipes in one book. Why not make it a pretty book? I made two identical pages – just add recipe.
Yesterday was the last day of summer vacation. School starts TODAY! Yikes! I had such a nice nice summer. Now, one evening when I’m assisting the son with homework, I can get out my recipes, grab a journaling pen and a recipe card…and start jotting down these tried and true family favorites!
